A page layout that builds revision into the notes.
Direct answer
Cornell notes divide a page into three parts: a main notes area on the right, a narrow cue column on the left and a summary at the bottom. During class you take notes, afterwards you write cues as questions and then a short summary. To revise, cover the notes and answer the cues.

- Review: cover the notes and answer the cues from memory.
- Repeat at spaced intervals.
Use AI wisely
Ask an AI to turn your cues into practice questions, then answer them without looking.
