A plan turns panic into progress.

Direct answer

For effective revision, list every topic, estimate how strong you are in each, schedule short focused sessions, use active recall and past papers instead of rereading, review old material at spaced intervals and rest properly. AI can help generate practice questions, but you must do the recall.

A simple weekly plan

  1. List topics and rate each red, amber or green.
  2. Schedule sessions of 25 to 50 minutes with breaks.
  3. Start with red topics.
  4. Use active recall: close the book and write what you remember.
  5. Do past papers under time conditions.
  6. Review earlier topics every few days.
  7. Plan rest, sleep and exercise.

Using AI responsibly

  • Ask for practice questions on a topic.
  • Ask it to explain an answer you got wrong.
  • Do not use it to complete assessed work.

Frequently asked questions

When should I start revising?

As early as possible, giving yourself time for repeated review rather than cramming.

How many hours should I revise a day?

It depends on your situation. Regular, focused sessions with breaks work better than marathon days.

How can AI help me revise?

Create quizzes, explain tricky ideas and suggest practice questions, while you do the recall.
