Nerves mean you care. Channel them.

Direct answer

To calm interview anxiety, prepare thoroughly, practise answers out loud, use slow breathing, arrive early and reframe nerves as energy. If your mind goes blank, pause, breathe and ask for a moment.

10 ways

  1. Practise aloud with a friend.
  2. Research the company.
  3. Prepare your stories.
  4. Plan your route or setup.
  5. Sleep and eat well.
  6. Breathe slowly: in for four, out for six.
  7. Reframe: "I am excited."
  8. Arrive early.
  9. Remember they want you to do well.
  10. Debrief and learn afterwards.

If it goes wrong

"Could I take a moment to think about that?" is fine.
