Interviews go both ways.
Direct answer
Ask thoughtful questions about the role, team, success measures and growth. Prepare several, pick two to four and listen carefully. Avoid questions about things you could easily find online.
Good questions
- What does success look like in the first 90 days?
- What are the biggest challenges in this role?
- How would you describe the team culture?
- How is performance measured?
- What opportunities are there to learn and grow?
- What are the next steps in the process?
- What do you enjoy most about working here?
Avoid
- "What does your company do?"
- Pay and leave questions in a first interview, unless they raise it.
